Disturbing images from confiscated cell phones have led Regina Police to laying charges against a 24 year old man. Last November, the Street Gang Unit executed a search warrant on a home on the 200 block of Brad Street. They seized two cell phones, firearms, and drugs. At the time, a 23 year old man was charged with drug and weapons offences.
Since then, the Gang Unit was given judicial authorization to pull data from the phones. They allege finding videos of assaults on, and firearms pointed at, people who are tied up and unable to leave. They also allege videos of kittens being suffocated or strangled by a male suspect.
This week, the Gang Unit arrested the suspect allegedly seen in the videos. Tyson Dylan Ray is charged with multiple counts of Forcible Confinement, Pointing a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm, and Cruelty to Animals.
