The latest scam to come our way involves a brown SUV complete with fake SaskPower logos. Indian Head RCMP were told that a well-dressed man with a lanyard around his neck, and with an ID card attached, appeared at a home in Montmartre, identifying himself as a SaskPower worker. He claimed to have received an email from the homeowners with a request to do repairs to outlets, lights and switches in the residence. The homeowners did not send that email and refused him entrance. The man left. SaskPower told police they never sent the man and said they only use white vehicles. Police would like to remind people that such work is done by an electrician hired by a homeowner and is never done by SaskPower employees.
