Santa will be visiting with Autistic children Sunday at Midtown Plaza.
The Silent Santa event is planned for Midtown Common beginning at 9 a.m. before the mall opens.
The Director of Family Programs at Autism Services of Saskatoon says the closed-off sensory friendly environment suits autistic children noting visits during shopping hours would be too difficult amid the holiday shopping crowd.
Alex Scott says it’s satisfying for everyone in the organization to give autistic children and their parents a chance to visit and get pictures taken with Santa.
The Sensitive Santa event at Lawson Heights Mall is Sunday December 8th from 5:30-to-6:30 p.m.
There is also a skate with Santa planned for Saturday December 14th from 1:30-to-2:30 p.m. at Archibald Arena.
