A team of paleontologists from the Royal Saskatchewan Museum have had a paper published in Scientific Reports on the discovery of the first record in North America, of amber attached to a dinosaur bone. It’s believed the amber and the jaw bone of a duck-billed dinosaur were likely buried at the same time in an ancient river channel while the resin was still sticky. The team says they have remained together for 75 million years. Inside the amber is a tiny insect identified as a bark-feeding aphid. To see pictures of the finds, go to this story at cjwwradio.com
