All city-owned facilities in Yorkton will be closed, effective Wednesday, in response to the coronavirus outbreak.

Facilities affected include the Gallagher Centre, the Kinsmen Arena, the Yorkton Public Library, the Gloria Hayden Community Centre, the Godfrey Dean Cultural Centre, and the Visitor Information Centre on Highway 9.

Mayor Bob Maloney notes there’s been no report of any coronavirus cases in Yorkton, and he wants to keep it that way.

He’s also asking residents to shop local to support businesses in the city.
