The Saskatchewan Health Authority is reminding everyone that emergency departments and hospitals are still open for care for those who need it.
The message is that the local EDs and hospitals remain safe for individuals to go for acute care services.
Hospital emergency departments, cancer services, and urgent and emergent medical imaging and surgical services are still happening.
You can call 911 or got to a hospital emergency department, and you will be cared for just like you would be before the pandemic.
The SHA has taken precautions to make sure you are protected from the virus, including enhanced screening of patients, more cleaning, and limiting visitors and public use of the health facilities.
Ambulance services are also taking all the necessary steps to eliminate the spread of the coronavirus.
Otherwise, you can contact your family physician or community clinic for everyday needs.
Assessment and treatment sites for COVID-19 have been set up across the province to reduce in-person visits to emergency departments other primary care clinics and doctors’ offices.
