The Saskatoon Fire Department was told around 10:40 Wednesday night that lightning struck a home on South Point Drive in the Ashwood Estates area of Corman Park. The caller said smoke was coming from the roof. When fire crews arrived they found a small fire in the attic and the two occupants waiting outside. The fire was quickly put out and firefighters ensured all affected insulation and charred building material was safely removed from the structure. No one was hurt.
