The winners have been announced for the 2020 Saskatchewan Book Awards. The award show was held virtually through the SBA’s website and facebook page.
Author Paul Seesequasis was short listed for four awards and ended up winning two. Including the Saskatoon Book Award and the Saskatchewan Book of the Year Award, for his book Blanket Toss Under Midnight Sun, Portraits of Everyday Life in Eight Indigenous Communities.
Jason Heit was also the winner of two awards including the First Book Award and the Fiction Award.
SBA Executive Director Kam Teo says they celebrated 27 years of excellence in writing and publishing in Saskatchewan, and are proud of this year’s nominees, which reflect the diversity of Saskatchewan’s authors and publishers.
