It wasn’t a large event like Ribfest, but a recent fundraiser for the Nutana Rotary Club saw some interest.
Past President of the club, Candace Odishaw, says she would have like to have seen a few more teams, but participants in the city-wide scavenger hunt seemed to enjoy it.
She estimates there were around 40 teams and they raised over $14-hundred.
Nutana Rotary’s largest fundraiser is Ribfest, which had to be cancelled this year because of COVID-19, but the hope is it will be back next year. Odishaw says about 20-thousand people attend that event.
More fundraisers are on their way, though. Odishaw says their new president, Lorne Braithwaite, has come up with many new ideas.
She’s not sure if there will be another scavenger hunt this summer.
