Metis Nation – Saskatchewan has come up with a plan to try and ease the stress related to cancer treatment for its citizens. The Cancer Transportation Pilot Program is in response to concerns expressed about treatment only being available in major urban centres, coupled with the loss of the public bus service and the financial hurdles associated with travel. The pilot program involves offering financial reimbursement to alleviate the stress.
To access the program and apply for reimbursement, contact CPAC Project Coordinator, Tanya Pruden at 306-291-4758, email tpruden@mns.work. Applicants ought to be registered citizens of the Mtis Nation-Saskatchewan to be considered for this program.
