The NDP has officially launched its campaign with a promise to invest in people and stand against Sask. Party cuts to health care and education.
Leader Ryan Meili says, “People are stretched and stressed and finding it more difficult to make ends meet.”
He says a New Democrat government would invest in health care, create safer schools and smaller class sizes, raise the minimum wage to $15 per hour, expand home care to help seniors stay at home, and act to take big money out of politics.
The party also says it would use local companies and workers to build infrastructure projects.
Meili says his party aims to put people first, while Scott Moe’s government is one that will make costly and dangerous cuts to education and health care budgets during the COVID-19 pandemic.
