New Democrat Leader Ryan Meili called on SaskParty Leader Scott Moe to reveal how many job losses the province could see, referring to a SaskParty plan he says will cut and privatize healthcare during a pandemic.
Meili called SaskParty attempts to privatize and defund healthcare reckless. Meili made the comparison to Alberta Premier Jason Kenney, who last year signed a healthcare guarantee, which Meili claims has lead to the firing of 11,000 healthcare workers. Meili suggests Scott Moe is using the same playbook, and putting jobs and healthcare at risk.
Meili also raised concerns about a SaskParty plan he says would bring in a two-tier American-style healthcare that will see people paying out of pocket for the treatment they need.
