The Saskatchewan Medical Association says the province’s physicians have wanted a mandatory mask order and commends the provincial health officials for mandating the wearing of masks in Prince Albert, Saskatoon and Regina.
The public health order goes into effect Friday and will be in effect for 28 days.
Last Saturday, on October 31st, delegates to the SMA virtual 2020 Fall Representative Assembly passed a resolution calling for mandatory masking. The resolution was also supported by the Student Medical Society of Saskatchewan.
Health officials are also strongly recommending the wearing of masks for residents in other communities.
