The company says it will begin round-the-clock work to repair the damaged lines as soon as the fire commissioner grants permission to enter the area.
The estimated restore time for the majority of affected customers is one to three days. Currently, SaskPower is aware of 15 structures that will need replacement, and it is likely that more will be damaged.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority says, due to the disruption of some services, residents are reminded that while the La Ronge Medical Clinic is closed due to a power outage, the La Ronge Health Centre Emergency Department remains open. In the event that there is a loss of phone service they ask residents who are trying to access 9-1-1 or in need of emergency services report to the La Ronge Health Centre Emergency Department for assessment.
