The City of Prince Albert says the Kinsmen Water Park will open on Friday, at 12:30 p.m. All of the features including waterslides, tot pool, hot tub and the main Junior Olympic-sized pool are scheduled to be in operation until August 22nd. The City says it is closely monitoring Saskatchewan Health Authority guidelines and will follow all regulations in the Reopening Roadmap set out by the provincial government.
When the park opens there will be a 100 person capacity for public swimming and 12 person capacity for lane swimming. All swim times need to be booked in advance online. After hours private rentals will be available starting next Tuesday when the entire facility can be booked from 5:30-7:00 p.m. for up to 100 people. Summer swimming lessons are being reviewed based on SHA guidelines, with an update expected in June.
The daily times for public swimming at the Kinsmen Water Park will be: 12:30-2:00 p.m. and 3:00-4:30 p.m. with the 5:30-7:00 p.m. time available from June 4th to 7th. Lane swim times will be 6;00-7:30 a.m., 8:00-9:30 a.m. and 10:00-11:30 a.m. daily. These times are subject to change throughout the season. Registration fee is $6.50/person (2+).
there is online registration for public and lane swimming from June 4th to 12th as well as phone registration at 306-953-4835. There are after-hours rentals from June 8th to 26th registration online. Rental fee is $325.
The City continues to monitor the Reopening Roadmap and will make adjustments to capacity numbers and programming as announcements are made.
