In the latest update from the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency, Saskatchewan currently has 166 active wildfires.
The SPSA reports 11 of those fires are currently contained, while 18 are not contained. Currently 114 of the fires are receiving ongoing assessment, and 23 require fire crews to protect property and infrastructure.
This year 453 fires have been reported in the province, well above the five year average of 225.
