The City of Saskatoon says repairs to the College Drive pedestrian walkway are underway and are on schedule. The city estimates the repairs could possibly be complete by December 24th.
And the cost at this time is estimated at $100,000 although it may cost less depending on how repairs progress.
The overpass was hit by a truck with a crane the morning of Tuesday, December 7, which created damage and knocked it out of alignment. Temporary support towers have been installed.
Until the walkway repairs are complete, westbound traffic between Campus Drive and Cumberland Avenue will continue to be rerouted into the eastbound lanes.
Once complete, the walkway and westbound lanes will fully reopen.
