Metis Nation-Saskatchewan wants to ensure Metis children who were lost to the residential school system are never forgotten. As part of national Truth and Reconciliation week, MN-S has activities geared toward children. On Monday, students from Ecole Victoria visited the MN-S office on 20th Street. MN-S Vice President Michelle LeClair spoke to the kids and each student was invited to dip a hand in orange paint and then put those orange handprints on canvas to memorialize the children who never made it home.
