One way to make the season bright is to check out the BHP Enchanted Forest Holiday Light Tour at Forestry Farm Park.
That, from Director of Marketing, Hugh Vassos, with the gates opening Saturday at 5:30 p.m. to begin the drive-through season after the Light Walk Friday night.
Every year there is a new display and this year the theme is ‘I’ll be home for Christmas’ which Vassos says is also the theme for the whole Enchanted Forest tour. The work to get all the lights and displays in place begins mid-September.
Vassos adds that on average, around 75-thousand people check out the lights each year, but a few years ago, over 92,000 people visited the Enchanted Forest.
It’s $10 per person or $35 per car, and children five and under are admitted free. Proceeds go to the Saskatoon Zoo Foundation and the Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation.
The gates are open 5:30 to 10 each night through January 8th.
