LutherCare says the 2023-24 provincial budget will help begin to address funding and staffing concerns that are affecting long-term care providers which includes LutherCare Communities.
CEO Gabe Lafond says they are pleased that $9.3 million of interim funding is going to affiliated not-for-profit long-term care providers. He also says they look forward to working with the Ministry of Health to develop a new funding model.
Luther Special Care Home offers 24-hour care and support to 126 residents across three different neighborhoods, including a secure dementia neighborhood for 46 residents and are looking forward to what the hiring of 75 Continuing Care Assistants in the province will mean for their organization.
