The former Chief of Cowessess First Nation is visiting Prince Albert next Tuesday to continue the conversation on Truth and Reconciliation. In the summer of 2021, signs of 751 unmarked graves were discovered near Marieval Indian Residential School. The Prince Albert Police Service says last November, Cadmus Delorme shared an impactful message of hope and moving forward. Delorme will join students for a youth empowerment session in the afternoon and then the free public presentation is at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the E.A. Rawlinson Centre for the Arts.
Delorme was named Chair of the new Residential School Documents Advisory Committee in February, to develop recommendations to identify historical residential school documents in coordination with the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation.
Complimentary tickets for the evening event are available at the E.A. Rawlinson Centre, Canadian Tire or by emailing ctebbutt@papolice.ca
