The Correctional Service of Canada says an inmate at the Regional Psychiatric Centre in Saskatoon has died while in custody.

The news release says Danny Croxen died of apparent natural causes on Wednesday.

Since April 23, 1999 Croxen was serving an indeterminate sentence for sexual assault, assault causing bodily harm, and forcible confinement.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) will review the circumstances. CSC policy requires that the police and the coroner be notified.
