SaskEnergy is proposing a decrease to its commodity rate and an increase to its delivery service rate, and the Saskatchewan Rate Review Panel is welcoming comments and questions from the public.
SaskEnergy’s commodity rate would decrease from $4.20 to $3.30 per gigajoule, and the delivery service rate would increase by an average of 5 per cent. Overall, these adjustments would decrease the average residential customer’s bill by $5.66 a month, or $68 a year. These proposed rate adjustments are set to take effect on October 1st of this year.
