A report of a bicycle being stolen in the Forest Grove Neighborhood eventually led to three shots being fired and four people arrested.
Around 11:50pm on Sunday, police received a report of a bicycle being stolen from a yard in the 100 block of Hedley Street.
A resident chased a woman to the area of Spark Avenue and Grant Street where she got into a white BMW. One of the people in the vehicle fired three shots out the window as it drove away. Three spent shell casings were located nearby.
A short time later, patrol officers spotted the white BMW at Avenue T and 23rd Street being driven in a dangerous manner. The vehicle was tracked from the air until it stopped in the 1400 block of Wellington Street in Holiday Park. Four people fled on foot and were arrested with assistance from the Canine Unit. A handgun was located in a search nearby.
A 38-year-old man is charged with Dangerous Driving and Evading Police. A 29-year-old man is charged with Possession of a Firearm. A 28-year-old woman is charged with Possession of Cocaine and a 28-year-old man is charged with a Breach of Undertaking. All four are also being charged with firearm offenses.
