Today (Sat) is the third annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

The day is meant to bring awareness and reflect on the history behind the residential school system. The Saskatoon Tribal Council is hosting the “Every Child Matters” in honor of reconciliation pow-wow at SaskTel Centre.

There is a program which includes drumming, as well as dancing in categories such as jingle dress, men’s traditional, grass dance, and chicken dance. Attendees are encouraged to wear orange on Saturday and red on Sunday. There will be four grand entries this weekend at 1pm and 7pm today (Sat) and noon and 6pm tomorrow (Sunday).
