After sorting through many nominations, a recipient has been chosen for the 2023 Lennox Feel the Love program. Allan Awrey, owner of SaskWest Mechanical, says each year, Lennox provides a family or individual in need with a free furnace.

He says Ralanda Hall was chosen to receive the free Lennox furnace installation. She has been battling ovarian cancer for several years after receiving her diagnosis in 2018.  She was instructed to undergo six rounds of chemotherapy, however, she had severe reactions to several of the rounds. On top of that, in June of this year, doctors found four more tumours.

The bills from ongoing medical treatments have taken a toll on the family, as they are living off of one income. Awrey says her husband works night shifts, and she has a 13-year-old son who Awrey says has been a trooper throughout the ordeal.

Upon learning that Hall’s bills had been catching up to her, Lennox also decided to throw in a free air conditioning unit, which will also be installed Tuesday. Awrey says when she heard the news, she was very appreciative. She told him that with a past full of broken promises and unfulfilled expectations, the news made her day.
