One of the longest-running Christmas light shows in Canada, and a popular Saskatoon tradition is coming back for its 25th Anniversary Celebration.
Organizer Hugh Vassos says the BHP Enchanted Forest is kicking off its return with several added features, including an extended display route of 2.5 kilometres, three new light displays for a total of 75, and two nights of the Saskatchewan Blue Cross Light Walk, which begins Thursday evening at 5:30pm.
The drive-thru event begins on Saturday and runs until January 7th from 5:30-10:00pm each night, and Vassos encourages participants to buy a car pass. Car passes can be purchased for $30 at any Saskatoon Co-op or Shopper’s Drug Mart. Admission is $35 at the gate.
Last year, the BHP Enchanted Forest attracted 76,000 people. The money raised is used to support both the Saskatoon Zoo Foundation and the Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation.
