Saskatoon Police say a a death that took place on Boxing Day is being treated as a homicide and they have made one arrest.
Officers were called just before 11 a.m. Tuesday morning near Jonathon Avenue and Malouf Road in the Southwest Industrial area. Investigators with the Major Crime Section have arrested and charged a 20-year-old Saskatoon woman with second degree murder in relation to the death of the victim who has now been identified as a 20-year-old Saskatoon woman.
Investigators believe the homicide occurred Christmas Day and the two women were known to each other.
The accused is in Provincial Court Thursday morning. This is Saskatoon’s 12th homicide of 2023.
