A dozen weather records fell on Sunday in Saskatchewan with many of them in the northern part of the province where the mercury was close to or above 0 degrees Celsius. Cypress Hills set a new record at 10.7 degrees but it wasn’t the warmest spot in Saskatchewan Sunday. That went to Maple Creek where it topped out at 14.9 degrees Celsius. But there was also an interesting disparity in where the warmest weather resulted because Buffalo Narrows set a record at 7.8 degrees and Waskesiu Lake – at 7.7 degrees for a high but those more northern locations were considerably warmer than Prince Albert at -0.7 degrees for a high on Sunday and Saskatoon at +0.8. Five new weather records were set in Manitoba and 15 in Alberta on Sunday.
