Skylar Ackerman’s (pictured) Saskatoon-Nutana foursome will be in action on the first draw Friday night at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Canadian Women’s Curling Championship, in Calgary.
Saskatchewan will play Prince Edward Island in a Pool A round-robin contest. Ackerman is a 22-year-old Scotties rookie, along with third Ashley Thevenot, second Taylor Stremick and lead Kaylin Skinner plus former Saskatchewan champ Amber Holland is their fifth player with Skylar’s father Patrick Ackerman is the team coach.
