The Saskatchewan Teacher’s Federation is giving two days’ notice of one-day job actions taking place this Tuesday.
Job action will include the rotating strike, withdrawal of noon-hour supervision and withdrawal of extracurricular activities.
School divisions affected by the rotating strike are the École Boréale school in Ponteix, all schools in the Chinook, Île à la Crosse, Lloydminster Public, Lloydminster Catholic, Northwest, and Prairie Valley school divisions, as well as the North West and Southwest Campuses of the Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre.
There will be no noon-hour supervision at all schools in the Holy Trinity Catholic, Horizon, North East, Regina Catholic, and South East Cornerstone school divisions.
Withdrawal of extracurricular activities will involve students in the Creighton, Horizon, Prairie South, Regina Public, and Regina Catholic school divisions.
Parents and caregivers are invited to attend the Parent and Caregiver Information Night being offered virtually through Zoom at 7 p.m. on Monday, February 26. STF President Samantha Becotte will provide information about the status of contract negotiations and teacher job action.
