Charges have been laid in the investigation of multiple break and enters to assisted living facilities in Saskatoon dating back to December.
On December 2nd, just after 4:30 in the morning, a suspect broke into the Luther Special Care Home on Osler Street, then came back again around 8:30 and broke in again. Both times, he was confronted by staff and left without further incidents.
Around 7:30 in the evening on January 27th, a suspect broke into St. Anne’s Residence on Louise Street. Police report the suspect made his way to an underground parkade, accessed multiple unlocked vehicles and stole an unknown amount of property. Police say the suspect returned on February 19th around 4:30 in the morning but was unsuccessful in stealing any property.
Video evidence was obtained which helped to identify the suspect. The 48-year-old is charged with break and enter, mischief and theft under $5,000.
