SaskPower is donating $50,000 for the project, which was announced following the Humboldt Broncos bus crash in 2018.

Fundraising started last year with $600,000 of the $800,000 required already committed.

There have been several large donations for the helipad over the past month, including $50,000 from the Town of Nipawin. (see photo)

Construction of the new helipad at the Nipawin hospital is expected to start in the spring and be completed next year.
