One man has been arrested following another incident on a Saskatoon city bus Wednesday night.
Saskatoon Police Service says around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, officers were called to a bus at a bus stop in the 1200 block of 8th Street East after receiving a report of an altercation between three males.
Officers were told that one of the individuals had made inappropriate verbal advances towards a group of underage females on the bus when he was confronted by two other males which when a physical altercation occurred on the bus before the three males got off the bus and fled. Officers located one of the males, believed to be under the influence of an intoxicant, a short distance away trying to get onto a separate uninvolved city bus.
Police allege that during his arrest he spit in the face of a constable. A 19-year-old man has been charged with assaulting a police officer and failure to comply with court-imposed conditions.
The two other men involved were not located. This is one of four incidents that have occurred involving Saskatoon city buses within the month.
