If you are thinking of running in this fall’s Saskatoon Civic Election, keep in mind that you will need to keep complete records of all campaign contributions received during the campaign contribution period as well as maintaining a record of all campaign expenses incurred during the campaign expense period. That is the kind of information contained in the 2024 Civic Election Candidate Information Guide that is now available for anyone seeking election or re-election for mayor, city councilor or school board trustee.
The digital guide, prepared by Elections Saskatoon, can be found at www.saskatoon.ca/candidateinfo. The guide includes information on the responsibilities and time commitment of elected office, candidate eligibility, the nomination and important key dates. The biggest key date is November 13th – the date of the Saskatoon Civic Election.
The latest to announce they are not running in the upcoming Saskatoon Civic Election is Ward 2 City Councillor Hilary Gough. She has been on City Council for eight years and joins Ward 8 Councillor Sarina Gersher, Mayor Charlie Clark and Ward 3 Councillor David Kirton as those not running for re-election.
