Three men are facing charges in connection to a drug trafficking investigation by Yorkton’s Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team and two are also charged with adult kidnapping.
A news release from the Saskatchewan RCMP says on Monday, officers executed a search warrant at a Yorkton business and 23-year-old Parteek Sandhu on Ontario was arrested. As a part of this same investigation, a farm was searched south of Yorkton. A drone was used to find a male suspect on the property and 46-year-old Ryan Langford was arrested. During a search, a severely injured, forcibly confined man was found in a barn who had been kidnapped. He was transported to hospital.
From a search of the business, the farm and a vehicle, RCMP seized an explosive device with a detonator, about 160 grams of meth, 14 guns, ammunition, drug trafficking paraphernalia and cash.
Langord and Sandhu are facing charges that include two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and adult kidnapping. Another man from Quebec is also charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking. The RCMP investigation continues.
