One person has been pronounced deceased at the scene after a garage fire in the wee hours of Thursday morning.

The Saskatoon Fire Department was called at 2:17 a.m. to a report of a garage fire in the 1300 block of Avenue G North.  When firefighters arrived, the detached garage was fully involved in flame.

Crews began to put out the fire and entered to search the structure which is when they found one person inside.

The fire is out, and the fire investigator has indicated the cause is undetermined with a damage estimate of $60,000.  The scene has been transferred to the Saskatoon Police Service to investigate the death.
