The Saskatoon Police Service says their Collision Analyst Unit continues to investigate a fatal crash Monday evening at the intersection of Highway 5 and Highway 41 just east of Saskatoon.

The call came in at 7:20 p.m. about an accident involving a truck and an SUV.

Arriving officers extracted a woman who was the driver in the SUV from the vehicle as she appeared to have suffered life-threatening injuries. They performed CPR while waiting for paramedics to arrive. The 54-year-old woman was transported to hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.

Officers also spoke with the driver of the truck who was suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. He did not wish to receive any further medical care.
