Tisdale RCMP responded to a single vehicle accident Monday afternoon just before 4 involving a school bus. The collision happened near the intersection of Township Road 424 and Range Road 2160, about 22 kilometres southwest of Tisdale. Local fire and EMS also responded.

The bus was transporting children at the time, but as of early Tuesday evening, police couldn’t confirm the number or the ages. Some of the children are being treated for various injuries, but that’s all the police can tell us at this time. The driver has non-life-threatening injuries.

Tisdale RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of an RCMP collision reconstructionist. The road is closed between Range Road 2160 and Range Road 2155 as of 8 Monday night with detours in place.
