Prince Albert RCMP are investigating a fatal crash that occurred late Thursday night on Highway 3, about 15 kilometers west of Prince Albert. Police say a collision between an SUV and a truck caused traffic to be rerouted.

The 61-year-old male passenger in the SUV, from the Rosthern area, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The adult female driver of the SUV and the male driver of the truck, who was injured, were both taken to hospital.

Emergency crews responded, and Highway 3 has since reopened. The investigation is ongoing.
