There is an extreme cold warning for central Saskatchewan and a snowfall warning for further south. The darker red on the map is for the snowfall warning.
The extreme cold warning covers from Meadow Lake and then further south from the Alberto to Manitoba borders including Saskatoon, Prince Albert, and ending just north of Lake Diefenbaker and Regina. Extreme cold wind chills between -40 and 45 are expected tonight (Tues) and overnight and will moderate tomorrow (Wed).
Further south, it’s a snowfall warning with 10 to 20 cm of snow expected. The snow will move into the southwest Wednesday morning and will arrive in the east in the afternoon. Ten cm is expected, but pockets of up to 20 cm are also possible, especially from Kindersley to Moose Jaw and further to Estevan. The snow will taper off by daybreak on Thursday.
