RCMP responded to a report of a serious assault at residence on Waterloo Road in Yorkton last Saturday afternoon.

A child under the age of six was transported to hospital with serious injuries.  RCMP are unable to provide an update on the child’s condition due to privacy concerns.

Frederick Stewart will appear in court on Friday charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault by choking and failing to comply with a probation order.
