Tune in starting at 7 p.m. tonight for live election results from Canada’s 45th federal election. CJWW, 98 Cool and 92.9 The Bull will have reports three times an hour keeping you up to date on the latest election results. In Saskatchewan polls open at 7:30 this morning and close at 7:30 tonight. Electors vote at their assigned polling station. ID is required to vote and can register at the polls.
Each ballot is manually counted, and the results from each voting station are then reported to Elections Canada before later being checked again. Once officially validated, only then are the results declared final.
There are 14 federal ridings in the province. Nearly 207,000 Saskatchewan residents already voted in the advance polls – more than a 12-per-cent increase from the last general election in 2021.
In his second visit in the federal election campaign Liberal Leader Mark Carney stopped down in Saskatoon on Sunday in a final push before election day. Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre was in Saskatoon last Thursday and Friday and NDP leader Jagmeet Singh made a stop earlier in the campaign.
