One of the few areas where there was to be Via Rail service today (Thurs) is now closed because of a blockade in Quebec.
The passenger train service was going to be able to resume its service beween Montreal and Quebec City, but they are now cancelled until the end of day on Friday.
This after Via Rail announced on Wednesday that because of the protest blockades inhibiting train service, close to 1-thousand employees received notice of temporary layoffs.
