Fire crews dealing with a dumpster fire in the alley on the 14 hundred block of 20th Street west, headed to the 13 hundred block where they spotted a garage fire. This happened Tuesday night around eight o’clock. Another crew was sent to deal with the dumpster fire. The garage fire was actually two garages. Fire fighters quickly put out one of them but the other garage had flames extending into the attic and interior of the building. Power lines were also downed and arcing which caused crews to proceed with caution. After about 40 minutes, the fires were out and both structures searched. No one was hurt. The cause is under investigation.
