Corman Park Police say one of their members was hit in the face and bit on the arm after police responded to a disturbance call at a motel at Floral Road near Highway 11 at 11:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Police say the officer deployed pepper spray after a struggle ensued with a 34 year old man who they believe was under the influence of illicit drugs.

CPP say with help from two bystanders, the officer got control of the suspect until members of RCMP and Saskatoon Police arrived. The officer has been treated for his injuries and released from Royal University Hospital.
