Full service has been restored to the primary water main at the southbound Circle Drive off-ramp from Taylor Street. After the repair was completed on Tuesday, the City says the system was flushed, and two water samples underwent quality testing. Both tests have come back with the desired result, allowing crews to complete the work and restore full pressure to the system. Testing is a necessary step in the restoration process; at no point was the quality of the water in question or unsafe to drink.
Residents and businesses south of College Drive and east of the South Saskatchewan River area are now permitted to resume normal water usage.
City irrigation and public facilities in the impacted area will also resume normal usage, including spray pads. The following spray pads have re-opened:
- Briarwood (Briarwood Park)
- Lakeridge (Crocus Park)
- Holliston (Holliston Park)
- Rosewood (Glenn H. Penner Park)
- Stonebridge (Alexander MacGillivray Young Park)
