Nine people received a Saskatchewan Volunteer Medal at Government House today (Tues). Since it was established in 1995, the medal has been awarded annually to citizens for their outstanding contributions to Saskatchewan. Lieutenant Governor Russ Mirasty says, “Through their selfless work and commitment to helping others, volunteers improve our communities and our province. Nominations for this year’s volunteer medal are now open and the deadline is October 18th.
