Update:Christian Desjardin has been located

Turnor Lake/Birch Narrows RCMP say they received a report of a serious assault yesterday (Friday) afternoon.

Polce determined that a male youth was assaulted by an adult male with a knife on Birch Narrows Dene Nation. The youth was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

RCMP have charged 19 year old Christian Desjardin with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, and uttering threats. A warrant has been issued and police are actively working to locate him.

Desjardin is described as 5’6″ and 140 lbs. he has brown hair and brown eyes with an upside-down cross tattoo in the middle of his forehead.

If you see Christian Desjardin, do not approach him. Report sightings and information to your local police service immediately.
