Around 6:00am, police were notified someone broke into a residence and a cell phone and vehicle keys were stolen. Less than an hour later, police received another report of a break and enter in the same area. Officers spotted the suspect, who took off running. A police canine unit was brought in and they successfully located the suspect hiding in a back yard. When located, the male had the cell phone from the first break and enter on him.
A seventeen-year-old male who cannot be named is charged with Break and Enter x 2, Fail to Comply with a Condition of Release Order, and Fail to Comply with Probation Order. The youth made his first court appearance in Provincial Court yesterday afternoon.
